Pastor Dave Walston has been attending Calvary Chapel since January 1991. He is married to Shelly and has two adult sons. He served in the Worship ministry from 2000 until 2015. His main focus now is on the prayer ministry. Back in the summer of 98, after Pastor Bryan Parish had taught on the gifts of the Spirit, Dave came forward to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Shortly afterward, he felt the Lord calling him to prayer. Every believer is of course called to prayer, but he understood this in a larger capacity. He studied prayer, read books on prayer, and practiced prayer. He joined the men's prayer group and soon found himself leading it. Dave has been involved in the men's prayer meeting, men's prayer retreats/days and organizing corporate prayer in the church. His heart and passion right now is to grow personally in prayer, and to know the Lord more, and to see corporate prayer grow in the church.
