Homeless Each Saturday morning we provide breakfast, shower, clothes, blankets and other provisions, and a Bible study for those in need in our community and those communities surrounding us. These men and women are homeless and are in tremendous need of not only these basic needs, but they also crave interaction with someone who really cares about their well being. We don’t just send them through a soup line and tell them good-by, we SERVE them a hot breakfast and sit and eat with them. We talk with them, we LISTEN to what they say, we pray with them, and really get to know them. The homeless people have told us themselves, that they look forward to coming to the Saturday breakfast each week and it’s the highlight of their week! PRAISE THE LORD!
Current needs:
- cooks for the breakfast
- volunteers to fold and arrange clothes
- volunteers to provide rides to uptown Whittier after breakfast
- men's and women's warm clothes
- shampoo
- towels
- socks
Please make sure all donated clothes are in clean condition.
